ABOUT THE PROJECT
OBJECTIVES
The general objective of this BIM4WB is the development of a curricula and training materials in order to enhance the skills of students and professionals within the construction workforce in Albania and Kosovo by incorporating Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies and technologies. This targeted approach aims to address the critical skills gap in the sector, fostering a deeper understanding and application of BIM to improve construction quality, efficiency, and sustainability. Through this initiative, the construction sector is expected to achieve higher standards of project execution, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and overall industry competitiveness.
Specific objectives
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis to identify the specific needs of professionals and companies in the construction and civil works sectors regarding BIM, aiming to tailor the training for higher technicians with precise industry requirements.
- Design and develop BIM curricula and training materials that encompasses essential theories, practices, and applications, ensuring it is up-to-date and relevant to the current standards and technologies in the industry.
- Establish the BIM4WB platform as an interactive, user-friendly online resource for sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices related to BIM, facilitating collaboration and continuous learning among VET providers, students, and professionals in the Western Balkans.
- Enhance the capabilities of VET providers in the Western Balkans by delivering targeted training on the BIM framework and methodology.
Pilot the training for both students and professionals in BIM, focusing on practical applications, current industry standards, and emerging trends to ensure they possess the skills and knowledge required to excel in the modern construction environment.
