WORK PACKAGES

Work Package 1

WP1: Management and quality control will be led by IRL, who is responsible for project management, and the development and implementation of a results-oriented project management plan to ensure actual delivery of planned outcomes and follow-up on time conduction of planned activities. This work will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Grant Agreement and Programme Guide as well as Project Management Plan. WP1 will cover the overall operational and financial management and monitoring and quality assurance and evaluation, in which case Quality control part will be under the coordination of European University of Tirana (EUT), which is a very experienced partner in quality assurance processes.

WP2: Status Quo Analysis – The second work package starts with conducting thorough research to pinpoint the specific needs of companies and professionals in the BIM sector. This involves collecting data through online surveys addressed to stakeholders to understand existing skills and knowledge gaps in Kosovo and Albania. The findings are then compiled into a detailed report that highlights the demand for certain competencies, tools, and methodologies within BIM. Following the research, a seminar is organized to facilitate discussions among industry professionals, educators, and stakeholders about the skills and competencies needed for VET professionals in BIM. The insights and recommendations from this seminar are captured in a comprehensive report, which serves as a guide for developing the BIM curriculum.

WP3: Content Design for BIM course – Building on the groundwork laid in WP2, this WP will involve the Content Design for the Building Information Modeling (BIM) course. This step is crucial as it translates the previously identified skills and competencies into a structured educational program tailored specifically for students/professionals in the BIM sector. The Content Design phase will focus on developing a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses all necessary theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and industry insights essential for proficient BIM practice. To ensure the curriculum’s alignment with the forefront of industry standards, a workshop will be organized, drawing on expertise from Member States and Countries associated to the Programme (Spain and Türkiye) to enrich the course content. This engagement aims to infuse the program with a broad perspective, incorporating a variety of insights and experiences from across the European Union. This curriculum will be crafted with a clear understanding of the latest industry demands, technological trends, and regulatory requirements, ensuring that learners are equipped with up-to-date and relevant expertise.

WP4: Focuses on building the BIM4WB platform and enhancing the capabilities of VET providers. It adopts a dual-track approach: organizing capacity-building activities, including online and offline workshops on BIM, alongside the technical development of the platform. The aim is to equip VET providers with the skills and knowledge necessary for using and contributing to the platform while ensuring the platform’s content and technical infrastructure are developed simultaneously. This phase aims to create a comprehensive educational platform for BIM and prepare educators to fully utilize this technology, advancing BIM education in the VET sector.

WP5: Focuses on the real-world pilot implementation of the BIM4WB platform and curriculum in Kosovo and Albania, transitioning from development to practice. It aims to test the platform and curriculum with 40 students in each country during the first year, to evaluate effectiveness and gather feedback on usability and relevance. This phase serves as both a learning and testing ground, facilitating iterative improvements based on student experiences.

WP6: Focuses on disseminate the results of the project from the initial phase of the activity, curating the web presence and distributing branding/presentation materials. An exploitation plan is included in WP6. The dissemination is organized to be direct, but very professional. Most of the partners in the consortium have significant experience with setting up social media pages and campaigns for projects. However, it was decided that for the design of the website, the logo and corporate branding, the promotional materials, as well as for the setting up the public relation concept, professionals will be hired.
